
Today I was filming at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory as part of the ongoing documentation of Invisible Dust’s Invisible Wave project. Students from Hounsdown school spent the day with Dr Hugh Mortimer and artist Phil Coy, learning how you build instruments and vehicles for use in space, and their research on climate change. I spent some time interviewing Dr Hugh Mortimer about his work, learning how they measure the temperature of the Earth’s oceans using acutely accurate infra-red camera’s in space, to determine it’s connection to global warming and weather patterns.
I also outed my geek side, as I enquired if the building pictured above had anything to do with Star Trek….
