Last Tuesday 11th December, Neville Gabie revealed his new book Great Lengths 2012, a beautiful hardback detailing his time as the Olympic Delivery Authorities Artist in Residence. Gabie spent over a year on the park during construction, getting to know many of the people who built the London 2012 Olympic Park and helped make it happen.
In January 2012 as part of the Sparked exhibitions at View Tube I Project Managed, Gabie exhibited his first works from the residency, to much acclaim. All royalties that would be received from LLDC (London Legacy Development Organisation), will be ploughed back into post-games charity for art and culture, The Legacy List.
I was there on the launch night taking photos, and was delighted to discover I get a thank you in the book.
